BEGINNNERS

Duration: 3 months + 2 weeks internship

Aim of the Program:

To enable individuals create apparel or custom patterns with respect to basic finishing according to the clothing requirements. The students are taught machine handling skills, production sewing and garment construction techniques to basic standard.

Curriculum (Topics to be Covered)

(1) Introduction to Fashion Design.

(a) Week 1 - Understanding the various kinds of sewing machines and their parts

(b) Week 2 - Learning the various fashion designing tools and how to x thread on a sewing machine.

(c) Week 3 - Learning how to operate (paddle) a manual sewing machine.

(d) Week 4 - (i)Understanding the variations in measurements & body dimensions.

(ii)Introduction to Fabric types and texture.

(e) Week 5 - Learning the types of stitches and tackling of buttons excellently by hand.

 

(2)Pattern Making

(f) Week 6 - Learning how to cut a basic Kaftan trouser with the use of brown paper.

(g) Week 7 - Learning how to cut a basic Kaftan trouser with the use of Fabrics.

(3)Sewing of Basic Designs.

(h) Week 8 - Learning how to sew a basic Kaftan trouser.

(i) Week 9 - Learning how to cut a basic short-sleeve Kaftan top with the use of brown paper.

(j) Week 10 - Learning how to cut a basic short-sleeve Kaftan top with the use of Fabrics.

(k) Week 11 - Sewing of a basic short-sleeve Kaftan top.

(l) Week 12 - Learning the various types of fabric gum.

(m)Week 13 - Exam (Sewing a perfectly nished short-sleeve Kaftan Top and Trouser without Supervision).

(n) Week 14- Graduation and Internship

 

MASTERS

Duration: 3 months + 1 month internship

Aim of the Program:

To enable individuals to upgrade their knowledge on sewing custom patterns with respect to perfect finishing according to the luxury clothing requirements. The students are taught complex designs and excellence in perfect sewing and finishing techniques to luxury standards.

(c) Week 3 - Cutting & sewing a designers suit pant trouser with side pattern.

(d) Week 4 - Cutting of a standard corporate Shirt.

(e) Week 5 - Sewing of a standard corporate Shirt with perfect nishing.

(f) Week 6 - Cutting & sewing a perfectly nished long sleeve Kaftan (with cuinks sleeve, free-hand sleeve, Three-quarters sleeves).

(g) Week 7 - Cutting & sewing a perfectly nished long length Kaftan (with Designers Pocket, Monogram-xing design for ap and pocket).

(h) Week 8 - Cutting and Sewing of exquisite Danshiki, Agbada & Caps (Aso-oke Caps & Wedding Caps).

(i) Week 9 - Cutting and Sewing of Shirt Kaftans.

(j) Week 10 - Perfect nishing in cutting and sewing of Shirt Kaftans.

(3) Introduction to Fashion Photography

(k) Week 11 - Learning the art of fashion photography.

(l) Week 12 - Final Exam.

(m) 1-Month Internship.

 

PROFESSIONALS

Duration: 2 months + 1 month internship

Aim of the Program: To enable individuals to become experts and specialists in a particular niche in luxury Fashion. The students decide on one particular department they would like to focus on and are taught the secrets behind becoming Masters in that niche.
